Jillian’s therapeutic orientation is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and she integrates techniques from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to best meet each client’s needs. With children, she often incorporates elements of play therapy to help them express themselves, process experiences, and engage in treatment in developmentally appropriate ways.
Additionally, she takes a person-centered and strengths-based approach, tailoring treatment to highlight resilience and promote meaningful change. She is a firm believer that the therapeutic relationship is central to growth and healing, and she strives to create a collaborative, supportive, and trusting space where clients feel understood and empowered.
