Individual Therapy

We offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. We provide evidence-based treatments, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) -informed treatment, exposure and response prevention (ERP), trauma treatment including EMDR and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), radically open DBT (RO-DBT), expressive arts therapy techniques, and other relevant interventions.

A note on our DBT services: We do not provide full protocol DBT. For those looking for therapy that includes skills groups and phone coaching, please contact us for referrals. We may be a good fit for those who have stepped down from DBT programs.

Parent Training & Family Therapy

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based treatment for young children (ages 2-7) and their caregiver(s). This 16-20 week program focuses on improving a child's behaviors, reducing problem behaviors, and strengthening the parent-child relationship. This is one of the most effective interventions for children in this age group who experience emotional or behavioral dysregulation. Our practice is currently offering PCIT virtually only.

We also offer parent training and family therapy for patients, as needed. Please reach out to us if you would like support in parent or family work.

School Consulations

We provide consultation services for schools and school personnel looking for support with implementing social, emotional, and behavioral interventions. As licensed school and clinical psychologists, we are able to provide knowledgable support and understanding for schools looking for more ways to address students’ and families’ needs. We are specially trained in DBT STEPS-A, a DBT-based intervention for schools, and PCIT in schools.

At Northside Psychology Services, we aim to foster an inclusive environment for individuals from all walks of life. This includes BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual +). We stand in solidarity with individuals who are a part of these communities and will continue to actively fight against historical systemic oppression, racism, and prejudice. We will do this by upholding our ethical principles of maintaining dignity and respect, increasing our awareness of our own biases, and continuing to educate ourselves on issues relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion. As mental health clinicians, we will continue to better ourselves every day so that we can provide the highest level of care and ensure our clients feel supported, appreciated, and empowered.
